Rostelecom-Solar offers Turkmenistan cybersecurity services

ASHGABAT, Nov 11 (PRIME) -- Russia’s Rostelecom-Solar, a cybersecurity arm of telecom operator Rostelecom, has offered Turkmenistan cybersecurity services, Oleg Slepov, head of Rostelecom-Solar’s international development department, said on Friday.

On the one hand, informatization secures breakthrough technological progress, but on the other hand, it makes state management vulnerable due to imperfection of security of information and communications technologies, and some countries are trying to exploit this imperfection in their purposes, Slepov said.

“They pose threat mainly to the independence of the government with cyber influence on information means of state management, election systems, they try to destabilize the situation in the country through disinformation of the people via media, calling for violent actions,” he added.
